Easy Halloween Recipes


It’s no secret that Halloween is a favorite holiday among kids and adults alike! From haunted houses and pumpkin carving to Halloween costume parties and trick or treating, there’s always something going on during this very special time of year!

There are also endless possibilities to add to the fun and fright with a delicious array of spooky treats to trick your palate, so we’ve put together our list of our favorite easy Halloween recipes. From spooky desserts to downright chilling entrées, there’s truly something for everyone. We hope to inspire you with great ideas for planning that epic Halloween party or simply getting the family in the mood with a full belly before trick or treating begins.


Caramel Apple Nachos

Grocery List:
  • 30 large marshmallows
  • 5 teaspoons butter
  • 35 caramels
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 4-5 apples sliced
  • Toppings: peanuts, sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, crushed candy bars, etc.
How it’s done:
  1. In a medium sized saucepan, melt marshmallows and butter over low heat.
  2. Combine caramel and water in a bowl and microwave in 45 sec intervals, stirring in between until the caramel is smooth.
  3. Arrange sliced apples on a plate and pour caramel and marshmallow mixture over top.
  4. Add your favorite toppings and enjoy!


Hotdog Fingers

Grocery List:
  • Hotdogs
  • Buns
  • Ketchup
How it’s done:
  1. Grill or boil hotdogs. Once cooked through, cut out a thin section towards the top of the hotdog so it resembles a nail bed. Then cut 2 sets of 2-4 lines to represent knuckles.
  2. Place the hotdog in a bun.
  3. Squirt on some ketchup for a tasty, yet creepy effect, and enjoy!


Pumpkin Dip

Grocery List:
  • ¾ cup cream cheese
  • ¼ packed brown sugar
  • ¾ cup canned pumpkin
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • Apples, or other fruits, for dipping
How it’s done:
  1. Mix all ingredients together.
  2. Serve in a bowl or a small hollowed-out pumpkin with apples or other fruits for dipping!


Halloween Spaghetti

Grocery List:
  • ½ teaspoon black food paste colorant or any other color of your choice
  • 1 (16oz) box spaghetti
  • 1 jar prepared pasta sauce
  • Green olives stuffed w/ pimento
How it’s done:
  1. Cook pasta according to package directions; add food coloring to boiling water before cooking pasta. The finished product should result in black pasta.
  2. Top with favorite pasta sauce.
  3. Add two olives for the “eyeballs” and Halloween dinner is served!


Graveyard Taco Dip

Grocery List:
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 2 avocados (mashed)
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons mayo
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 bunch green onions (chopped)
  • 2 large tortillas
How it’s done:

1st Layer: Refried beans.

2nd Layer: Combine sour cream and taco seasoning in a small bowl; set aside.

3rd Layer: Salsa

4th Layer: Combine avocados, minced garlic, and mayo in a small bowl; set aside.

5th Layer: Chopped green onions

Tombstones:  Cut out shapes that look like tombstones from the tortillas. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 350 degrees until the tortillas are golden brown and set aside to cool.

  1. In a shallow glass dish, or pie plate, spread refried beans at the bottom.
  2. Layer next with sour cream and taco seasoning mixture.
  3. Spread salsa over sour cream mixture.
  4. Top the salsa with the avocado mixture.
  5. Sprinkle with green onions.
  6. Cover and refrigerate at least an hour, or make ahead of time and refrigerate overnight.
  7. Place tortillas tombstone decorations in your graveyard dip just before serving.
