These ghostly weekend events take place at our outdoor destinations in September and October. Hayrides, costume contests, and spooky crafts are just a few of the fun activities we have planned for our guests.

To get into the spirit, we’re highlighting several different celebrations that guests can enjoy. Check out our suggestions below and discover how your favorite resort is celebrating Halloween.


Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort

Once a year, Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort turns Santa Claus, Indiana, into a town of terror during Halloween Weekends. Starting mid-September through the end of October, Lake Rudolph hosts a frightfully good time for all ages.

Many activities await including bonfire ghost stories, spooky movie nights, haunted hayrides, and trick-or-treating. There are also costume and site decorating contests with prizes awarded to the winners. The fun culminates on Saturday night with a Halloween Dance Party and light show!


Fort Whaley RV Resort & Campground

Fort Whaley RV Resort & Campground hosts “Thrills & Chills” every weekend in October. This month-long celebration is always a hit. Each weekend is filled with great activities like haunted crafts, costume contests, and Halloween movie nights.

Frontier Town RV Resort & Campground

Just 12 miles east of Fort Whaley, Frontier Town RV Resort & Campground celebrates its Spooks & Spirits weekends throughout October. Enjoy family-friendly activities like pumpkin decorating, ceramic painting, spooky movies, and costume contests.

Are you seeking scares? Head into the Western Theme Park and conquer the FrontFear Town Haunted Trail if you dare.

Head to New York for more Halloween fun! Jellystone Park at Birchwood Acres hosts spooky activities during the first two weekends of October. You can get in the Halloween spirit with trick-or-treating, as well as costume and site decorating contests. Check out our camping costume ideas to create a frightening getup for the Halloween parade.


Lake in Wood RV Resort

Fun and fear meet at Lake in Wood RV Resort, our gnome-themed outdoor destination in Narvon, Pennsylvania. Here, the final three weekends of October feature Halloween activities. Treat yourself to a good time as you watch scary movies, create spooky crafts, and participate in pumpkin painting. Don’t forget to take a wagon ride too!

New Jersey

Sun Outdoors Cape May

Experience autumn by the beach in scenic New Jersey! Nestled near the coast, Sun Outdoors Cape May hosts Halloween weekends throughout October. Hayrides and haunted houses meet for a full schedule of eerie fun. Additionally, you can join us on October 23 for trick-or-treating at the resort!

Pleasant Acres Farm RV Resort

Travel to a spooky celebration in the mountains at Pleasant Acres Farm RV Resort. Located in Sussex, New Jersey, this rural retreat offers hayrides, costume contests, and even a golf cart glow parade. You can also bedeck your RV with ghostly decorations for the site decorating contest.

Sherkston Shores Beach Resort

Make your way to Sherkston Shores Beach Resort & Campground for family-friendly thrills and chills in Sherkston, Ontario. The fun starts on Friday, October 29 with Halloween bingo for adults, an exclusive event for homeowners. This event is very popular, so register at least two weeks in advance to make sure you get a seat.

The excitement peaks for all ages on Saturday with a costume contest and spooky golf cart parade. Later in the day, the entire resort becomes fair game for trick-or-treating. Put on your spookiest outfit and then you can roam the resort in search of sweets.
