Upstate New York has more than its share of natural beauty, but it’s also full of fantastic festivals. Mid-September is an ideal time to visit and attend the Irish 2000 Festival.
Irish 2000 Music & Arts Festival
The Irish 2000 Festival is an annual event that draws over 15,000 visitors to celebrate Irish heritage. On September 15, 2018, the irresistible lilting sound of traditional Irish songs will welcome you to the festival, but that’s only the beginning.
Just as American music comes in a range of forms, so also does Irish music. The lineup of artists will include those who play Celtic punk, jam, and more. In addition to the concerts, you can see dancers and pipers performing in the Celtic tradition.
You’ll also find plenty of vendors slinging pub grub, beer, and Irish-inspired wares. Tickets are available at the gate, but discounted prices are available for those who purchase in advance.
While you’re in the Saratoga area, stop by Fort Ticonderoga. A living history museum, Fort Ticonderoga depicts the inspiring Revolutionary War era. Everything about the visit – the costumed characters, the lovely views, and the good food in the gift shop – makes it a delightful stop.
