Wineries aren’t the only attractions in Prince Edward County. Lake Avenue RV Resort sits right next to Sandbanks Provincial Park. Sandbanks is a gorgeous mix of dunes, beaches, and wetlands along Lake Ontario. The waters are shallow and gentle, making them perfect for families with kids. Additionally, the park is a major birding hotspot in spring and fall.
Exploring Prince Edward County doesn’t just happen by car though. Many visitors are avid cyclists who tour the quiet country roads and traverse the Millennium Trail from Picton to Trenton.
Speaking of Picton, you may want to visit this cute Canadian town. Along the charming Main Street is the historic Regent Theatre, a live performance venue and cinema that’s more than 100 years old.
If those attractions aren’t enough, Prince Edward County still has more to offer. Visit Lake on the Mountain Provincial Park to canoe and fish in a curious natural wonder. Or head to Prince Edward Point National Wildlife Area for hiking, birdwatching, and fishing. If you’re in search of a peaceful retreat, you’ll find it in Prince Edward County!
