Those seeking a more rustic experience can give our tent sites a whirl. These include options with and without electricity, though every site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Additionally, three bathhouses make camping convenient for tent dwellers.
If you’re after a comfortable stay, try our premium RV rentals. These spacious campers have two bedrooms, or one bedroom and a loft, plus a sleeper sofa to accommodate up to six guests. Mystic, Connecticut is a town of history and whimsy. Tall ships line Mystic Seaport, a living museum honoring America’s maritime roots. Beyond the sails, Mystic Seaport has a recreated coastal village and a traditional shipyard. At the center of it all is the Charles W. Morgan, a magnificent tall ship launched in 1841.
Mystic is also home to a historic downtown with small shops and eateries aplenty. If you’re looking to learn more about the area’s aquatic life, visit the Mystic Aquarium or the New Bedford Whaling Museum. And if trying your luck strikes interest, head to the nearby Mohegan Sun Casino or Foxwoods Resort Casino.
Looking for a beach day? Head 15 miles southeast to Watch Hill, Rhode Island. This affluent coastal village is home to Victorian estates and fine Atlantic beaches. We recommend East Beach by the lighthouse, or the popular Misquamicut State Beach.
